A Combined Arts Anniversary Celebration in music, dance, spoken word and Blake’s visual images for a dramatic presentation of Milton’s Paradise Lost, his sonnets on blindness and his words with Cromwell and King Charles 1, which challenged Parliament and the Nation. All performed in the setting of the King’s execution in the anniversary year of the restoration of the monarchy.
Directed and devised by Valerie Doulton including a dramatic dialogue written by Val between Cromwell, King Charles 1, King Charles 11, and John Milton’s internal and external voices.
With a buffet supper served after the performance.
